Features: The Future of Education is one of Mike Young's most important works and also a significant one in the sociology of education. It provides valuable insights into the social construction of curriculum, the conflicts between various orientations, and the envisioning and analysis of the curriculum in a learning society, which are highly valuable for deepening our understanding and exploration of the curriculum. Academic exchange is the most important driving force for academic development and prosperity. Since the reform and opening-up, we have successively translated and introduced a series of foreign educational theory works, which have played a very positive role in promoting the development of educational research in our country and improving the level of educational research. However, after the 1990s, many works and authors frequently cited were often spread with errors due to the lack of systematic translation. To address this, we have planned this series of influential educational theory translations. The focus of the selection is on works with strong ideological and comprehensive nature, broad academic coverage, and high originality, primarily from the 1980s onwards. Although some of these works are difficult to translate, we hope to tackle the challenges and contribute to foundational work. At the same time, we also hope that scholars and colleagues will pay attention to the progress of this work, offer advice, recommend works, participate in translation, and continuously improve the quality of this series.
