Features: Look Good Anthology is a newly launched collection of excellent contemporary essays by Huayi Press. This volume includes 10 short novels by 10 authors such as Zhang Xin, Chen Yingsong, Yi Xiangdong, and Ji Yu. The works either depict the tough and resilient lives of the underprivileged, portray the desires and modern love confusions in urban life, or reflect the human spirit and compassion. The plots are both intricate and deeply moving, making the anthology highly readable and an insightful read for ordinary readers to understand the current state of Chinese society. From hundreds of thousands of articles published annually in countless newspapers and magazines across the country, selecting dozens or hundreds of pieces is indeed a risky and challenging task. Fortunately, we are compiling a collection of enjoyable reading, where the sole criterion is whether it is "good to read." In other words, our selection is not to create a literary ranking, nor to choose so-called classics or premium works, nor to conduct literary competitions or awards. We sincerely approach this with the perspective of an ordinary reader, with a calm and ordinary mindset, based on the public's reading interests. We strive to discover and gather those works that attract the masses, spark interest, and turn reading into a joy and an enjoyment. Through this cultural consumption, we hope to rekindle the once weathered and numb hearts of those who have been tempered by the market economy and social life, making them soft and vibrant again, and rehydrate the dry eyes of the readers. Not all good articles are necessarily masterpieces, but all masterpieces are undoubtedly good and deeply loved by the public. Dear readers, if you feel your hearts warm up or are touched and inspired while reading this collection, then as editors, our original intention has been fully realized.
