Features: people standing on the perspective of literati painting to discuss and write the history of painting, not only led to the original extensive and profound, colorful and varied painting tradition often being fragmented or misinterpreted, but also made some outstanding painters and schools in the history of painting covered in dust or lost. Of course, the past obscurity does not mean the lack of value of the Zhe School painting achievements. Since the 1920s and 1930s, scholars have set aside biases and began to discuss the value of the Zhe School in the history of painting. Since the 1960s to the present, scholars at home and abroad have preliminarily carried out research on the Zhe School from various angles, such as historical materials, overall understanding, individual cases of painters and works. This issue of Du Yun published some representative papers on Dai Jin and Zhe School research from home and abroad. Compared to the once prominent status of the Zhe School in the history of painting, current research in depth and breadth is far from sufficient compared to the study of other painting schools in the Ming and Qing dynasties. For example, the relationship between the rise and fall of the Zhe School and the ecological environment of the Ming and Qing painting scene with successive ideological trends and fierce school competition, as well as the analysis of the artistic achievements of Dai Jin and Wu Wei, are all topics awaiting in-depth research. We look forward to relevant research to be carried out and achieve breakthroughs. This book is divided into four parts: the history of painting research, painter research, work research, and painter chronology. The content includes: 20th-century research on the Ming Dynasty Zhe School, Zhe School painting style and noble taste, Dai Jin and Zhe School, and the examination of Dai Jin's life and deeds.
