Features: Masonry structures are widely used in engineering and involve large-scale projects. The purpose of this book is to combine theory with application, striving for systematicity, completeness, practicality, and operability. In terms of content, it aligns with the corresponding national codes and regulations of China. This book is based on the latest relevant design and construction codes, such as the "Code for Design of Masonry Structures" (GB50003-2001) and the "Code for Acceptance of Construction Quality of Masonry Structures" (GB50203-2002). Building on the foundation of masonry structure design, it refines structural and construction details and adds content on project acceptance, making the relevant information on masonry structures more systematic and comprehensive. The content of the entire book is concise, clear in concepts, and illustrated with diagrams. The book is divided into two parts. The first part focuses on masonry structure design, systematically introducing masonry materials and the basic mechanical properties of masonry, the calculation of load-bearing capacity for unreinforced and reinforced brick masonry, and the design of ring beams, lintels, wall beams, and overhanging beams. To promote the application of reinforced masonry block structures, we have also provided a detailed introduction to the calculation methods for the load-bearing capacity of reinforced masonry block structure components. Additionally, we emphasize the design content of multi-story masonry structure buildings. The second part covers masonry structure construction and material calculations, providing a detailed introduction to the construction methods, construction techniques, quality control, and inspection of brick masonry, concrete small hollow block masonry, stone masonry, reinforced masonry, and filling wall masonry. This offers comprehensive knowledge for masonry construction, supervision, quality management, and budgeting. This book is suitable for professionals engaged in the design, research, construction, management, and on-site work of masonry structures, as well as serving as a teaching material or reference book for students and faculty in civil engineering at universities and colleges.
