Features: In addition to emphasizing the forward-looking nature of views, the expression, scientificity, and systematic structure of the book, the focus is primarily on the elaboration of contemporary insurance theory. It provides beneficial theoretical discussions on some hot issues and development trends in contemporary insurance information disclosure, new insurance demands and supplies emerging in modern life, as well as a series of business operation, risk prevention, supervision, and management models in the contemporary insurance market, broadening perspectives. Since the beginning of the new century, the development of China's insurance industry has entered a fast lane and is gradually aligning with international standards, but this has also exposed the incompatibility between traditional insurance concepts and the new era. Especially with China's entry into the World Trade Organization, the influx of a large number of foreign-funded insurance market participants has posed even greater challenges to the competitive environment and landscape of China's insurance industry. On one hand, reform and opening-up have revitalized the life force of China's insurance industry, making its internationalization inevitable. On the other hand, the lack of theoretical research in contemporary insurance studies has hindered the vibrant vitality that China's insurance industry should have in the new historical period. This is undoubtedly something worth deep reflection. As a university teacher with years of teaching experience, I am well aware of the difficulties of theoretical research. Even with great effort, it is not guaranteed to yield positive results.
