Features: What specific aspects of design sketch training in the design foundation stage differ from pure art sketch training? We know that design serves the masses, with strong functionality and practicality. At the same time, to achieve commercial purposes, it must also attract the masses and align with their aesthetic preferences, which means conforming to universal aesthetic principles, including: principles and laws of visual communication, laws of formal beauty, structure, etc. These universal aesthetic principles should be emphasized from the beginning of design learning and throughout the entire process. Therefore, in the training of the design foundation stage, attention should be paid to cultivating students' understanding of the principles and laws of visual communication and the laws of formal beauty, while also focusing on practicality and integration with the objective world. Emphasis should be placed on developing the six aspects of discovery, observation, perception, imagination, creation, and expression, as well as the ability and qualities of design's plastic expression.
