Features: Currently, the book market offers a wide variety of compiled collections of laws and regulations, such as various "all-in-one" volumes, complete works, legal codes, and essential references. The editing and publication of these books, with their comprehensiveness and systematic organization, once became essential tools for professionals. However, due to their sheer comprehensiveness, high prices, and the practice of bundling sales without regard to specialization or field, many readers were deterred from purchasing them. In reality, most people do not need to buy and consult all laws, regulations, and judicial interpretations. Even legal professionals, with the increasing specialization in their fields, have selective needs regarding the laws and regulations they need to understand and apply. Based on this, our publishing house, after conducting extensive and in-depth research on the market for laws and regulations books, has spent a long time planning and editing to launch this "Practical Core Regulations Series" (80 volumes in total) to meet readers' multi-level needs for current laws and regulations information.
Compiling laws and regulations is not simply about packaging and stacking them together; it should reflect the compiler's philosophy and intellectual effort. Many of the currently published individual volumes of laws and regulations are simply categorized by subject matter, without considering or including the full range of related regulatory information or prioritizing it. In response to this situation, we established our own editorial philosophy:
- Everything serves the reader, understanding their needs;
- Everything is convenient for the reader, allowing them to quickly and directly find the content they need;
- Everything is faithful to the reader, ensuring the accuracy, currency, and authority of newly included laws and regulations;
- Everything benefits the reader, enabling them to obtain the largest amount of regulatory information in their chosen field with the smallest expenditure.
Based on this editorial philosophy and market research, we have classified the current complex and fragmented laws and regulations and judicial interpretations according to the social relationships they regulate, particularly which groups' behaviors they primarily govern. We have organized them into 80 thematic volumes, covering nearly all fields such as politics, economy, culture, science and technology, education, and social life, allowing readers to freely choose and meet the diverse needs of different readers for specific regulatory information. For example, by regulatory field, there are works such as Practical Core Regulations on Criminal Law, Practical Core Regulations on Evidence, Practical Core Regulations on Press and Publication, Practical Core Regulations on Legal Aid, and Practical Core Regulations on the Protection of Laborers' Rights. By the primary groups they regulate, there are works such as Practical Core Regulations for Deputies of the National People's Congress and Practical Core Regulations for Civil Servants.
Additionally, to help readers easily, quickly, and conveniently access every law and regulation, we have organized the content around the main law, incorporating all related information. Each volume is divided into three parts:
1. Main Law;
2. Implementation Rules, Departmental Rules, and Judicial Interpretations;
3. Appendices with an index of all other legal information related to the field.
For any given law or regulation, it functions like a mini encyclopedia, providing readers with all the necessary information in one volume.
