Features: This book adopts a combination of vocabulary lists and example questions, strictly arranging all vocabulary, phrases, and affixes covered in the exam syllabus in alphabetical order. It consists of eighteen units, each including six sections:
1. Polysemy Example Diagram Analysis: Each unit selects a single signifier to illustrate its multiple meanings through diagrams and explains its origins.
2. Polysemy Gap Filling: Explains polysemy in single signifiers through example sentences.
3. One Familiar Word to Multiple Unfamiliar Words: Memorizes word groups by connecting etymology and semantic proximity.
4. New Thinking, Complete Root and Affix Memory: Explains the meanings and parts of speech of common roots and affixes, lists cleverly memorable words, and similar spellings.
5. Gap Filling and Syllabus Word Mastery: Lists all words and phrases from the exam syllabus, explains memorization methods, illustrates usage with example sentences, and appropriately selects past exam questions as examples. Newly added words in the syllabus are specially noted.
6. Common Verb Phrase Search: Provides common and frequently used verb phrases, detailing their usage and typical collocations.
In the section, we explain common word memorization methods and summarize the forms of vocabulary assessment. In the last section is the appendix, which consists of two parts:
1. Newly Emerging Vocabulary in Recent Years (Technology, Education, Culture, Medicine, Society, etc.) as specified in the new syllabus.
2. Common Prefixes, Suffixes, Tables of Prefixes, Suffixes, Nationalities, Languages, and Nationality Names, as well as Continents and Common Abbreviations.
