Features: How to enable students to master the fundamental knowledge of conventional machining processes, deeply understand the essence of modern manufacturing technology, become innovative individuals, and excel in the talent market competition is a question frequently considered by those of us standing at the podium. Therefore, we, a group of veteran, middle-aged, and young educators who have been engaged in teaching for many years, have collected materials, analyzed, and reflected on practical situations and teaching experiences, writing this book titled "Machining Processes and Modern Manufacturing Technology." Guided by the educational reform concept of broad training for mechanical engineering majors—emphasizing a strong foundation, fewer credits, lower difficulty, new knowledge, and a broader scope—we refine conventional machining processes, highlight key points, and focus on practical application. We pay close attention to analyzing and discussing modern manufacturing technology, aligning with modern science and technology, and integrating the knowledge of interchangeability based on the current practice of curriculum integration in universities, with product quality as the starting point. To aid learning, review questions are provided after the conventional machining processes. The entire book focuses on cultivating students' ability to analyze and recognize problems. Since teaching time is limited, while the time for lifelong learning after graduation is unlimited, only by emphasizing the development of abilities can students, in the future, deeply analyze and reasonably solve various problems in machinery manufacturing under different practical situations, achieving good results in improving manufacturing efficiency and quality.
