Features: "Shitong" is the collective name for the ten books with the title character "Tong". After Du You of the Tang Dynasty compiled "Tongdian", Zheng Qiao of the Southern Song Dynasty compiled "Tongzhi", and Ma Duanlin of the early Yuan Dynasty compiled "Wenxian Tongkao", they are collectively referred to as "[San Tong]". During the Qianlong period of the Qing Dynasty, the official compiled "Xu Tongdian", "Qingchao Tongdian", "Xu Tongzhi", "Qingchao Tongzhi", "Xu Wenxian Tongkao", and "Qingchao Wenxian Tongkao", adding the previous "[San Tong]" to form "[Jiu Tong]".
