Features: Information sharing strengthens social connections and stimulates the demand for sharing different types of information among various sectors of society. Currently, the social demand for environmental and ecological information sharing primarily comes from three levels: government agencies, research institutions, and the general public. The demand for environmental information from these three levels can be broken down into four aspects: first, understanding national environmental laws, regulations, and standards; second, recognizing the quality of atmospheric and water environments; third, showcasing the ecological quality status of national environmental hotspots; and fourth, accessing national environmental statistics. Therefore, the key research areas of this book include: developing and establishing a Chinese environmental laws, regulations, standards, and regulations database that covers national, industry administrative departments, and local environmental protection agencies; building and improving a database that initially reflects the basic conditions of national air, water, and ecological environment quality; establishing an open and secure website for environmental protection and ecological information sharing; and developing a network query system for environmental and ecological information sharing to meet the basic requirements of environmental protection and ecological information sharing.
