My most precious

Features: If someone asks what is the most precious in your life, how would you answer? Would you think of some objects? Some things you have bought or want to buy? Or some people? In 1998, staff members of the Hong Kong Oxfam visited several farmers in southwestern China and asked them what they considered most precious or valuable, and why. This was a way to understand what is important in the lives of local residents and also a useful educational tool to help people in affluent areas recognize poverty issues. In 2002, the Shanghai Aide Education Research Association found this idea interesting and inspiring, so they organized a small group of student leaders to conduct a trial survey in Anhui, Jiangxi, and Yan'an, with surprisingly good results. Subsequently, in the winter vacations of 2002 and 2003, nearly 30,000 and 100,000 students, respectively, conducted the second and third "My Most Precious" surveys across the country.
