Features: This book is a revision based on the "Motor Design" (Volumes I and II) published in 1982. The book is divided into fourteen chapters. The first nine chapters primarily elaborate on the fundamental theories and calculation methods of rotating motor design, including electromagnetic calculations, ventilation and heat dissipation calculations, mechanical calculations, as well as noise and vibration calculations. Chapters ten and eleven introduce the electromagnetic design of induction motors and the application of computers in motor design calculations. Chapters twelve, thirteen, and fourteen mainly discuss the electromagnetic design and temperature rise calculations of transformers. To meet the needs of teaching, the book also includes calculation examples for the design of induction motors and transformers, as well as source programs for the electromagnetic design of induction motors. This book serves as a textbook for undergraduate programs in electrical engineering and can also be referenced by relevant engineering technicians and research personnel.
