Features: This book is divided into nine chapters, covering the following content:
Chapter 1 provides a general overview of ITS project evaluation, including the concept, significance, and current research and application status of ITS project evaluation both domestically and internationally.
Chapter 2 focuses on introducing the framework of ITS project evaluation. First, it introduces some basic concepts involved in the evaluation framework, such as the evaluation subject, evaluation principles, evaluation characteristics year, evaluation region, affected groups, and evaluation stages. Then, it emphasizes the technical, economic, social, and environmental aspects covered by the evaluation of ITS projects. Combined with the evaluation of each aspect, it presents the evaluation objectives and evaluation indicators under the main objectives, thereby establishing a basic framework for evaluating ITS projects.
Chapters 3, 4, and 5 discuss the main aspects of ITS project evaluation, including technical evaluation, economic evaluation, and social and environmental evaluation, respectively. They elaborate on the main content, evaluation indicators, and evaluation methods of each aspect. Special attention is given to the multi-objective hierarchical analysis method in technical evaluation, the cost-benefit analysis and data envelopment analysis in economic evaluation, and the fuzzy comprehensive evaluation in social and environmental evaluation, with theoretical and applied explanations and discussions.
Chapters 6, 7, and 8 focus on some frequently used technologies in ITS project evaluation, such as on-site data collection techniques for evaluation data, traffic simulation techniques, and data analysis and processing techniques for evaluation data. These technologies are detailed to ensure the collection, analysis, and preparation of evaluation data, thereby guaranteeing the smooth progress of simulations.
The final chapter, Chapter 9, provides an evaluation example for both on-site and pre-simulation evaluations of ITS projects. Through these examples, readers are expected to gain a more specific and in-depth understanding of the evaluation methods and techniques for ITS projects discussed earlier.
This book can serve as a teaching material for cultivating talent in ITS at colleges and universities, as well as a reference for researchers and developers in ITS planning and management departments.
