The "China Business Forum," organized by the Guanghua School of Management at Peking University, invites renowned scholars from the field of economics to discuss cutting-edge issues in business management. These discussions range from macro issues such as system reform to micro aspects like executive compensation design. The "China Business Forum" is a closed, membership-based forum and is not open to the public. Each member company is limited to a maximum of three participants per session (including CEOs and deputy CEOs). The core member companies of the forum include top domestic enterprises such as Huanyu Group, Wantong Group (Feng Lun), Capital Group, China Resources Group, Vanke Co., Ltd., Li-Ning Sports Products Co., Ltd., Lenovo Group, and Beida Qingniao.
The expert team of the "China Business Forum" is strong, including well-known professors from Peking University's Guanghua School of Management, Yangtze River Business School, China University of Political Science and Law, and Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. Additionally, the forum invites renowned scholars from universities such as Harvard University, Yale University, the University of California, Berkeley, the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, and the Carlson School of Management at the University of Minnesota, as well as senior executives from companies like IBM and Citibank to serve as guest speakers.
Each session of the "China Business Forum" selects themes based on the forefront of academic research and the practical concerns of member companies. By the end of 2003, the forum had discussed topics including: the theory and practice of corporate governance structures; executive compensation design; corporate ownership reform; the relationship between the market and the government; strategic design and performance evaluation in the era of globalization; corporate core competitiveness and branding; corporate diversification and specialization; social trust and corporate growth; technological advancement and management innovation; corporate leadership behavior and art in the Chinese context; and the history of management and organization.
