Features: Since its publication, "Green Channel" has been reprinted multiple times to meet the needs of English learners and users. "Green Channel" is designed and written for adult English learners, suitable for formal classroom teaching as well as self-study. It is particularly suitable for candidates preparing for the English Speaking Proficiency Examination (GESE) jointly launched by Trinity College London and Beijing Education Examination Authority. Following the user manual of "Green Channel," there is an official letter of recognition from Trinity College London, acknowledging that "Green Channel" is one of the reference textbooks for the GESE examination. GESE is a distinctive oral examination with high reliability and validity, attracting an increasing number of English learners to participate. Among the candidates, a significant proportion are primary and secondary school students. These candidates come from full-time public and private foreign language training schools in Beijing. Many schools and parents have requested a set of oral textbooks more suitable for children's learning and exam preparation. Additionally, in the past few years, through our English oral training and pre-examination tutoring for primary and secondary school students, we have gained some methods and experiences. Given these requirements and our teaching practices, we decided to compile "Green Channel." The three volumes of "Green Channel" are generally aligned with the requirements of the GESE Oral Examination levels 1-10. The newly compiled children's edition follows the preparatory level of the GESE examination syllabus, incorporating the core content of the original textbook's first volume and the first half of the second volume, divided into four volumes to suit children's English learning. "Green Channel" can also serve as a guide for primary and junior high school students participating in the GHESE levels 1-4 oral examination, ensuring consistency in content and requirements with the original "Green Channel." To provide users and parents of young learners with a comprehensive understanding of "Green Channel," we have also included the official letter of recognition from Trinity College London in this edition. During the compilation of "Green Channel," we have fully considered the psychological characteristics of children learning English and their current language learning and expression abilities. Referencing the goals of listening and speaking sections in the English Curriculum Standards for Full-Time Compulsory Education in Senior High Schools (levels 1-5) from the Ministry of Education, combined with the GESE examination syllabus, we have carefully designed the format, image design, teaching methods, and learning load per lesson to make English learning enjoyable and rewarding for young learners, embodying the teaching philosophy of "learning through play" and "teaching in accordance with aptitude." The entire textbook features practical language, innovative structure, vivid illustrations, and a strong sense of fun. Its content is closely related to the daily lives of primary and secondary school students, making it easy to learn, remember, and apply in real-life situations, providing significant help in improving children's oral skills.
