Features: This book is a self-study and review guide for postgraduate entrance exams, self-study, and tutoring, written based on the Basic Requirements for Teaching of "Signals and Systems" in Higher Industrial Institutions and the postgraduate entrance exam requirements set by the Ministry of Education (formerly the State Council Commission for Educational Development). The book covers nine chapters, including: fundamental concepts of signals and systems, time-domain analysis of continuous systems, frequency-domain analysis of continuous signals, frequency-domain analysis of continuous systems, complex-frequency domain analysis of continuous systems, complex-frequency domain system function and system simulation, time-domain analysis of discrete signals and systems, z-domain analysis of discrete signals and systems, and the state-variable method. Each chapter consists of three parts: key points and difficulties, selected examples, and exercises. The revised appendix provides 5 sets of postgraduate entrance exam questions on signals and systems (with reference answers), and the back of the book includes reference answers to the exercises in each chapter.
(2) When a non-sinusoidal periodic signal acts on a system at t=0, after an infinitely long time (in reality, only a finite time is needed), the system reaches a steady-state operation. At this point, all transient responses in the system have decayed to zero, leaving only steady-state responses in the system.
