Features:
1. The China Agricultural Yearbook is a reference book that reflects the basic conditions of agriculture, forestry, animal husbandry, fishery, town and village enterprises, agricultural reclamation, household machinery, water conservancy, and meteorology in China. It is published annually, with little repetition of content from previous volumes.
2. The contributors to the yearbook are primarily staff members from relevant professional agencies and research departments. Statistical data are provided or verified by the National Bureau of Statistics and the planning departments of ministries (bureaus) such as agriculture, forestry, and meteorology, as well as relevant departments in provinces, autonomous regions, and municipalities directly under the Central Government. These data are first published in this yearbook.
3. The provinces, autonomous regions, and municipalities are arranged in the order of administrative divisions.
4. The time boundary for the data in this yearbook is generally the end of 2001.
5. The data for each category are limited to materials from the 31 provinces, autonomous regions, and municipalities directly under the Central Government. The total output value of each item, unless otherwise specified, is calculated at current prices, and the growth rate compared to the previous year is calculated at comparable prices.
6. The content of the yearbook, while adhering to the Four Cardinal Principles, bears the responsibility of the authors.
