Features: With the increase in residents' income and the promotion of housing system reform, China's residential market has shown a booming situation in both supply and demand. Residential construction plays a significant role in improving people's living standards, driving economic growth, enhancing urban and rural landscapes, and increasing job opportunities. However, compared to developed countries abroad, China's residential industry remains relatively backward. To ensure the healthy development of China's residential industry, it is essential to study and learn from international experiences. In 2001, the Ministry of Construction's Foreign Affairs Department assigned a research project, with the Center for Promoting Residential Industrialization under the Ministry of Construction as the research unit. Over three years, relevant data was collected through overseas visits, international cooperation, and participation in academic conferences, followed by analysis and research, resulting in a comprehensive report. The content of the report has been compiled into this book, primarily consisting of four parts: Part 1: Comparative Study of Residential Industries between China and the United States; Part 2: Comparative Study of Residential Industries between China and Japan; Part 3: Comparative Study of Residential Industries between China and Europe; Part 4: Special Topics in the Residential Industry
