Features: This textbook highlights the characteristics of higher vocational education, with content that is both systematic and comprehensive, as well as targeted and practical. It can be used as a teaching material for majors such as Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning Engineering Technology and Building Equipment Engineering Technology in higher vocational and technical colleges in civil engineering. Additionally, it can serve as a teaching resource for correspondence courses, vocational colleges, and other similar programs. It is also suitable as a reference book for higher technical management and construction personnel working in ventilation, air conditioning, heating, and boiler equipment. The book is divided into two parts.
Part 1: Engineering Thermodynamics
This part primarily covers:
- Basic knowledge of the laws of thermodynamics and the second law of thermodynamics;
- The thermodynamic properties, state change rules, and analysis of basic thermodynamic processes of common working fluids (ideal gases, steam, and moist air);
- Basic knowledge and applications of the flow of gases and steam in nozzles and diffusers, as well as adiabatic throttling;
- Gas compression and refrigeration cycles.
Part 2: Heat Transfer
This part introduces:
- Basic laws and fundamental calculation analysis of steady-state heat conduction, unsteady-state heat conduction, convective heat transfer, radiant heat transfer, and steady heat transfer;
- The types, heat transfer principles, basic structures, performance evaluation, and selection calculations of heat exchangers.
