Features: The book "Civil Law" is written in accordance with the overall requirements of the Ministry of Education's "Basic Teaching Requirements for Core Courses in Law Majors in Higher Education Institutions" and the "Comprehensive Plan for Compiling Shortened Legal Textbooks for General Higher Education." It is tailored to the teaching characteristics and talent development goals of undergraduate law majors in universities. The book consists of five parts and twenty-eight chapters, comprehensively and systematically elaborating on the basic theories and fundamental systems of civil law (Marriage and Family Law and Intellectual Property Law are separately compiled into textbooks). Part I, General Principles of Civil Law. It primarily includes the meaning, nature, functions, objects of regulation, scope of application, methods of interpretation of civil law, as well as its basic principles, civil legal relationships, civil subject systems, civil legal acts and agency, and the statute of limitations, among other fundamental theories of civil law. These form a guiding significance for the four subsequent parts of the book, which constitute the special theory of civil law. The four parts of the special theory revolve around the core concept of civil rights, namely: Part II, Property Law; Part III, Debt Law; Part IV, Personality Rights; and Part V, Tort Law, which focuses on the protection of civil rights. The book emphasizes the explanation of basic concepts, theories, and systems of civil law, while also extensively absorbing and referencing the latest achievements in civil legislation, civil adjudication, and civil law research to meet the demands of civil law education and social development in the new century.
