Features: This book is a research outcome of the Canadian-China University and Industry Partnership Program. All 14 case studies were completed under the guidance of experts from the McGill University School of Management in Canada, led by Huazhong University of Science and Technology, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, and Xiamen University, in collaboration with a group of teachers from over ten universities in the western region. The content covers various disciplines such as corporate strategic management, marketing, human resource management, corporate culture, and operations management, with a particular focus on the conflicts and challenges faced by enterprises in underdeveloped regions under the conditions of a transitioning economy. Through the description of specific events, the case authors aim to reveal how enterprises can face market competition, improve internal mechanisms, build corporate culture, and integrate into the international market during the process of reform, expansion, and development. There are no ready-made answers to these problems, but every thoughtful manager can gain wisdom and inspiration from these vivid case studies.
