Features: Night after night, the dreamer anxiously awaits the arrival of the girl, and when she arrives, he anxiously waits for her to say, "I won't come back tomorrow." The innocent Natasha fell in love with the young lodger and confessed her love to him. The young lodger was going to Moscow for a year and promised her that if the girl didn't change, he would ask her grandmother's hand in marriage upon his return. A year later, on the agreed date, around 10 p.m., she stood by the riverbank, leaning on the railing, waiting. But the lodger didn't come; instead, he met "I" in the story. Out of sympathy, "I" comforted her and even accompanied her in waiting. For four consecutive nights, the lodger never appeared. When the desperate girl decided to throw herself into "I's" arms, the lodger arrived just then. The girl immediately broke free from "I's" arms and ran to him. The bright style, subtle poetic charm, and rich lyrical atmosphere make the entire novel like a ethereal and sparkling dream, a graceful and beautiful poem.
