Mowgli is a boy raised by a mother wolf in the forest. His friends include the kind-hearted wolf mother, loyal wolf brothers, the clever black panther Shere Khan, the gentle old bear Baloo, the kind old wolf Akela, and the powerful python Kaa. They form a warm community around Mowgli, teaching him the wisdom of life, survival skills, and the "Laws of the Jungle" that animals must follow. Mowgli brings "red flowers" (fire) from nearby villages, which do not exist in the jungle, to subdue the rebel of the wolf pack and the instigator, the tiger Shere Khan. He uses the courage and wisdom of "humans" to help these animals.
