Features: Nalan Xingde was a highly talented poet with a relatively short life. Like a meteor in the sky, he shone brilliantly for a moment before fading into silence and disappearance. Fortunately, the Ci poems he created with his life and heart are like precious and exquisite gems, shining brightly forever. The Ci form originated during the Sui and Tang dynasties, developed in the late Tang and Five Dynasties, reached its peak in the Song dynasties, declined in the Yuan and Ming dynasties, and experienced a resurgence in the Qing dynasty. During this period, theoretical research on Ci poetry flourished, so after a thousand years of evolution and development, Ci poetry finally reached a period of revival and prosperity in the late feudal Qing dynasty. Among the writers who revitalized the declining Ci scene and pioneered the way in the early Qing dynasty, there was Manchu poet Nalan Xingde, praised by Kuang Zhouji in Hui Feng Ci Hua as a "Ci poet of the early Qing." This book is based on the Qing Kangxi edition of Tongzhi Tang Ji, and the annotations refer to the works Nalan Ci Jian Zhu by Mr. Zhang Bingshe and Mr. Zhang Caojin on the same topic.
