Features: Before Jesus' birth, people received revelations of the Lord's coming. Guided by the Star of Bethlehem or informed by angels, they came to the manger to pay homage to the Holy Infant and the Virgin Mary. Jesus' birth is one of the most significant events in Christian history. Born when the human world was in decline, he foretold the salvation of the chaotic world. The 60 icon paintings selected in this book, all themed around "Christmas," are depicted by Western art masters with their deepest passion and most devout hearts. They portray the birth of the Holy Infant, a scene of celebration both in heaven and on earth. After viewing them, audiences are not only moved spiritually but also enriched by the beauty of art.
