Features: This book includes over 8,500 entries. Most of the idioms collected are strictly defined as idioms, meaning phrases or short sentences that have been used for a long time, with relatively fixed structures and specific complete meanings. A small number of modern Chinese idioms that are rarely used, somewhat obscure, but still retain vitality have also been appropriately included. Additionally, some quasi-idioms formed through conventional transformation from proverbs, colloquial expressions, allusions, and other familiar phrases have been included. The entries in this book consist of main entries and synonymous entries. Main entries provide phonetic and semantic explanations, list textual evidence, and include the names of synonymous entries afterward. Synonymous entries are marked only with phonetic information and provide hints for the main entry names for easy reference.
