Features: Linguistic Circle of China was originally an irregular publication jointly organized by the Chinese Language Teaching and Research Section and the Linguistics Teaching and Research Section of the Department of Chinese Language and Literature at Peking University. Starting from the 26th issue in 2002, it was taken over by the Center for Chinese Linguistics at Peking University. A new editorial committee composed of renowned linguists from both China and abroad was formed to solicit contributions from the global linguistic community, and the publication was changed from irregular to biannual. This marked a significant shift in the editorial policy of Linguistic Circle of China. From the newly published issues, it can be seen that the original editorial style has been maintained, and the primary goal of supporting emerging scholars has not changed—a truly heartening development. Recently, the Standing Committee for the Humanities of the European Science Foundation conducted a bibliometric analysis of linguistic journals published worldwide and selected the 85 most frequently cited journals. Among the Chinese-language publications included, in addition to Chinese Language and Ethnic Languages, Linguistic Circle of China was also honored to be selected. This is recognition from the international linguistic community for our work. The editorial committee and editorial office will take this as motivation and encouragement to work even more diligently. Linguistic Circle of China has now reached its 30th issue, entering its "thirtieth year" (a metaphor for reaching maturity). Whether it has truly "stood firm" depends on the judgment of the readers. However, I believe that as long as the original editorial principles are upheld and continued support from linguists and readers at home and abroad is received, it will certainly stand firm and remain stable. I hope to share this sentiment with my colleagues in the editorial committee and editorial office. At the request of the editorial office, I have written a few words for the 30th issue. The thoughts and hopes expressed above are offered as a token of remembrance.
