Features: The Han ethnic group is the dominant ethnic group of the Chinese nation and one of the most populous and historically enduring ethnic groups in the world. As a national entity, it has existed for thousands of years. However, many researchers, when mentioning ethnic studies, often misunderstand "ethnic" to refer only to minority ethnic groups, excluding the Han ethnic group. They believe that historical and contemporary disciplines such as Chinese history, philosophy, and literature primarily study the Han ethnic group, so there is no need for specialized Han ethnic studies in ethnic research. This is a misconception. In reality, no comprehensive and systematic history of China can fully reflect the history of the Han ethnic group. Over thousands of years of history, the Han ethnic group has developed its own unique patterns of development. The formation and evolution of the Han ethnic group were the result of continuously absorbing the essence of other ethnic groups and integrating them through bloodline. Therefore, a comprehensive and systematic exploration of the history of the Han ethnic group will inevitably promote the in-depth study of the history of all ethnic groups, thereby enhancing the understanding of the connotation of the Chinese nation. From a practical perspective, only by thoroughly studying the dominant ethnic group of our country can we gain a comprehensive and overall understanding of the Chinese nation.
