The entire book follows the chapter structure and basic content of the Modern Chinese Literature Teaching Syllabus designated by the Ministry of Education and the recommended textbook Thirty Years of Modern Chinese Literature, divided into 29 chapters, equivalent to 29 topics, covering the main subjects of modern literature teaching. It can be used as a supplementary book for Thirty Years of Modern Chinese Literature and is also compatible with other teaching materials. Each chapter includes the following five aspects:
Learning Tips and Summary: Introduces the basic content of each topic and the key and difficult points of learning;
Key Knowledge Points: Lists the literary knowledge that should be mastered for each topic, including writers and works, literary groups and schools, literary trends, etc.;
Discussion Questions: Each topic is designed with discussion questions of different types and varying difficulty levels;
Essential Readings and Documents: Each topic lists a minimum basic bibliography;
Excerpts from Critiques: Accompanying each topic are excerpts from academic and critical research, including representative and academic arguments from different perspectives and methods, as well as innovative analyses of writers and works.
