Features: This set of books is compiled based on the requirements of the undergraduate mathematics teaching syllabus for science and engineering majors and the national postgraduate entrance examination mathematics syllabus. The authors are the main lecturers from the Department of Mathematical Sciences at Tsinghua University.
This book explains the basic concepts, fundamental theorems, and key points of the "Linear Algebra" course. It starts with the background and applications of basic concepts and theorems, then extends to problem-solving strategies, methods, and techniques. Through the approach of "one method for multiple problems" and "multiple methods for one problem," it integrates and cross-applies knowledge. In terms of content arrangement, it reflects both the sequential relationship between key points and maintains the systematic structure of the discipline, while also considering the horizontal connections between key points, providing readers with a platform to grasp the knowledge holistically.
To reinforce the learned basic concepts and theorems, the book includes fundamental problems, comprehensive problems (emphasizing the integration of knowledge points within the chapter), and cross-comprehensive problems (emphasizing the integration of knowledge points across chapters) for readers to choose from. Additionally, it provides self-assessment questions for readers to use.
Considering that the teaching syllabus and examination syllabus for science and engineering majors cover the requirements for business and economics majors, with only differences in the scope of knowledge and the level of mastery required, the content for business and economics majors was not compiled separately. However, in the arrangement of content, the selection of examples and exercises reflects both the differences and similarities between the two groups. Therefore, this book is suitable for both science and engineering majors and business and economics majors.
