We have edited this series of "Pinpointing Gaokao English" books according to all the exam items of the English subject in the Gaokao (China's National College Entrance Examination). They include Listening (with 1 CD), Multiple Choice, Cloze Test, Reading Comprehension, Error Correction, and Writing. Each book in this series is divided into three parts:
1. Gaokao Question Setting;
2. Practice Tests;
3. Answers and Explanations.
In the first part, we interpret the "Gaokao Examination Specification" (i.e., the Gaokao syllabus) for readers, helping candidates understand the requirements of the syllabus, the patterns and trends of Gaokao question setting, and teaching them exam strategies and techniques through example analysis. For candidates, the quality of practice tests directly determines the return on investment of their efforts in the Gaokao. Therefore, in the second part, "Practice Tests," we provide high school seniors with carefully vetted, authoritative, classic, and reliable practice questions.
In the third part, "Answers and Explanations," we provide solutions and insightful analyses of the questions. These authoritative answers and explanations aim to help candidates generalize and apply their knowledge effectively.
