Features: The call for papers for the theoretical discussion session began in early March 2001 and ended in late November, collecting a total of 97 papers. After selection, 39 papers were included in this collection. The original main topics of the conference included: issues concerning the current international political situation; the new stage of contemporary capitalist development; the present state and prospects of the world socialist movement; re-evaluating several major historical facts in the history of the world socialist movement, and so on. The views presented in the papers included in this book are the personal opinions of the authors. Moreover, the content covered is very broad. Due to differences in the authors' knowledge backgrounds, perspectives, and research methods, each paper has its own unique style, making it difficult to form a cohesive whole. We can only roughly divide the papers into several sections based on the issues they discuss. Additionally, due to space limitations, we made minor cuts to some longer articles without compromising the views or structure of the papers.
