Features: "Shaping the Future of Youth" is an international information exchange project on youth research by UNESCO. It is organized by the Documentation and Information Center of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences and has been implemented for 14 years. The project publishes annual abstracts on youth research. Since 2001, it has also published a set of abstracts and selected works (Volume 1 and Volume 2) each year. In 2004, Volume 1 of the annual issue focused on abstracts of papers on youth work and youth research, with approximately 550 papers and around 4,600 bibliographic entries, totaling about 500,000 words. Volume 2 featured a collection of selected papers on youth issue research, including about 42 outstanding papers, totaling around 400,000 words. The two volumes combined contain approximately 900,000 words in total.
The papers and abstracts included in "Shaping the Future of Youth" cover current hot topics in China's youth and youth work research. The content encompasses youth research and disciplinary development in the new era, youth's modern consciousness, values, ideological and political thoughts, education and training, social psychology, moral standards, talent development, learning and employment, love and marriage, lifestyle, as well as alternative issues, social problems, and crime among youth. The publication of this book holds significant theoretical and practical importance for advancing China's youth research and youth work, as well as for shaping youth and their role in shaping the future.
