Chopin Mazurka Collection

Publish Date: 2001-04-01
Features: This book collects the Mazurkas of the famous pianist and composer Chopin, including in F-sharp minor, B-flat major, A minor, C major, and more. The content is comprehensive, suitable for music professionals and enthusiasts to practice. Chopin was Poland's greatest composer, a poet with the gentleness and elegance of a woman who shouted for freedom and human rights, and the most noble and graceful interpreter of desire and emotion to this day. Regarding the content of this book, it is well-known that the greatest differences between various versions lie in the selection of pieces. I believe these differences may have originated from Chopin's frequent revisions of the manuscripts during proofreading, as he did not mark the locations of the changes in the manuscripts. It is also possible that the differences occurred during the copying of the manuscripts, or that Chopin made different modifications and improvements when teaching different students. Therefore, these differences, as "original sources," have been passed down in self-concealment, partly by Chopin's students—and then by his students' students—until now, leaving no authoritative version.
