Sakuragi Hanamiya joined the Shohoku High School Basketball Club. However, the daily repetition of basic training made him complain constantly and often clash with the team captain, Akagi. After the practice match against the Ryonan team, the Shohoku team members worked even harder to secure a spot in the national league. The delinquent Miyagi Ryota and the leader of the delinquent group, Miyagi, also returned to the basketball team. Shohoku High School had a string of victories in the county-wide competition and engaged in an intense battle against Hainan University High School, but ultimately lost by a margin of two points. Sakuragi deeply felt his lack of shooting skills and began training for under-the-basket shots. Meanwhile, the Ryonan team, centered around Misaki and Fudou, launched a fierce offensive against Hainan, taking a significant lead. However, under the leadership of Amachi, Hainan played with the true strength of a champion, gradually narrowing the score gap.
