Features: The eye is the most important organ in the visual system. It is located on the surface of the body and has a transparent feature. Therefore, the diagnosis of ocular diseases, including some systemic diseases, often relies on direct examination of morphological changes in the eye, which means ocular examination holds a prominent position. With the recent high development of science and technology and the increase in examination instruments, the scope of ocular examination has been expanding daily, presenting a myriad of images. This makes it difficult for beginners in ophthalmology to grasp everything at once. Thus, how to record the general findings of eye disease examinations and the characteristics of new technologies in color images and compile them into a book for reference by beginners and researchers has become one of the important aspects for the popularization, improvement, and development of ophthalmology science in our country. The book is divided into 15 chapters. Chapter 1 covers common examination methods, while Chapters 2 to 14 illustrate various eye diseases according to the anatomical regions of the eye. Chapter 15 is dedicated to eye injuries. Additionally, a small number of images of eye injuries are included in relevant chapters, along with some cases of eye tumors, ophthalmic pathology, and systemic conditions related to the eye. Photos related to surgery are rarely collected. At the end of the book, there is a bibliography that, if consulted, can deepen the understanding of related content.
