Features: The world trend is overwhelming. The global landscape is colorful. The historical train has brought humanity into the 21st century, where peace and development remain the themes of the era. However, the world is not peaceful, and the international situation is complex and ever-changing. China is advancing with giant steps, striving to seize the strategic opportunity period to realize the grand blueprint of rejuvenating China. To achieve this goal, it is necessary to strengthen research, understand the world, recognize the current situation, grasp the development trajectory of the international situation, and seek the initiative. The book analyzes the development trajectory and evolutionary logic of international security mechanisms, focusing on the following three aspects of discussion: First, studying the internal driving forces and contradictions of international security mechanisms, exploring the evolutionary trajectory and future development trends of international security mechanisms; Second, analyzing the different choices made by sovereign states in the face of international security mechanisms, the underlying considerations, and the gains and losses of interests; Third, clarifying the development context of China's relationship with international security mechanisms, thereby seeking a more appropriate strategic and policy space for China in the increasingly complex security network relationships. Overall, this is an applied theoretical research, and strengthening strategic and comprehensive analysis has been the self-imposed requirements and constraints throughout the writing process. This book is an extension and deepening of the research work of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences' "15th Five-Year Plan" major project "China and International Organizations - The Process of Joining and Adapting."
