Features: This is a story about two sisters with contrasting personalities falling in love with the same handsome man. In this rather familiar plot, the author relies on vivid and detailed descriptions and meticulous psychological portrayals to gradually reveal the distinct personalities of the two sisters, while also unfolding the intense conflicts between reason and emotion, family bonds and love. This adds a tragic undertone to the work, enhancing its emotional appeal. Discarding the "grand" and pursuing the "small," the author finds and develops story elements within everyday life scenes and restrained characters' minds, narrating the tale with delicate and subtle prose. Thus, The Rose Spirit showcases its exceptional qualities, and the author reveals her valuable talent. The work is filled with the restlessness of youth, the anxieties of growing up, wandering souls, female rebellion, and rose-colored fantasies. The betrayal story it tells reflects, in a roundabout way, certain aspects of our contemporary life—irrationality, emotional excess, and a lack of responsibility—and exposes the shift from collective ethics to self-ethics. Jin Yangyang and Jin Disi are deeply bonded sisters living in a loving family. The perfect life ends with the father's obsession with a female student. Disi moves to live with her mother at her grandmother's house in the same city, while Yangyang lives with her father. The different family backgrounds color their respective destinies differently. Disi discovers that her lover is also her sister's. The betrayal tears Yangyang apart, and she dies in a car accident out of emotional distress. Consumed by deep grief and guilt, Disi chooses to flee.
