Features: This book is a medical textbook published by Higher Education Press. The construction of this textbook was initiated and planned by the China Medical Doctor Association, the National Higher Education Teaching Research Association, and more than ten renowned medical colleges in China in early 2002, with dozens of institutions joining later. Nearly two thousand authors participated in writing this textbook, including medical giants, academicians of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, leaders of relevant medical professional committees, and academic backbone members. What is particularly encouraging is that a large number of mid-level and young teachers from teaching and clinical frontline positions were also involved. The "Higher Education Press" medical textbooks retain the "three foundations" knowledge found in domestic textbooks while removing outdated theories and content based on the transformation of the medical model and changes in the disease spectrum. They also introduce recognized new knowledge and technologies. The textbooks are presented in a three-dimensional and serialized format for faculty and students, fully reflecting the characteristics of medical education. In recent years, our press has not only published medical textbooks for other disciplines and levels but has also built corresponding teaching resource libraries and subject websites to provide three-dimensional teaching packages and teaching solutions for universities and colleges. Pursuing advanced educational concepts and teaching methods, and building high-quality textbooks, is our common goal! This book consists of 35 chapters, systematically introducing the morphology and structure of bacteria, infection and immunity, mycoplasma, the characteristics and common pathogenic fungi, the morphology and structure of viruses, diagnosis and prevention, and common pathogenic viruses.
