Features: To facilitate the social art level assessment work deployed by the Ministry of Culture, and to provide candidates with convenient options for preparing for assessment levels and professional advancement, this series of books has been specially compiled according to the specific regulations of the art and calligraphy assessment syllabus. This series covers eleven professional categories within the scope of the assessment syllabus: Chinese freehand bird-and-flower painting, Chinese meticulous bird-and-flower painting, Chinese freehand landscape painting, Chinese freehand figure painting, sketching, figure quick sketches, watercolor painting, tempera painting, oil painting, and Chinese calligraphy, as well as hard-tip calligraphy, etc. Each category is divided into two volumes: the assessment syllabus sample illustrations and the corresponding professional techniques. Most of the compilation work of this series was carried out by senior examiners appointed by the Ministry of Culture, who are highly influential experts in their respective fields both domestically and internationally. The sample illustrations were personally drawn by these experts and, finally, reviewed and approved by the assessment center's review committee. The sample illustration books for each level list multiple works, allowing candidates to understand the range of assessment works and the specific requirements of the syllabus. The technique books serve as supplementary teaching materials for the sample illustration books. For each level, typical works are selected to illustrate the specific painting steps with detailed diagrams. Some also include photographs of the subjects, demonstrations of painting postures, and the use of art supplies. Additionally, each step is accompanied by detailed explanatory text, aiming to provide strong guidance for candidates of all disciplines in their study and research. As a foundational project, the social art level assessment is a supporting project for the Ministry of Culture's triennial "Starlight Award" evaluation. Therefore, the grasp of artistic standards and basic criteria for each category of assessment requires Level 8 to meet the admission standards of art majors in national universities, Level 9 to qualify for provincial and municipal selections in the national "Starlight Award" exhibition, and Level 10 to win awards in the provincial and municipal selections of the national "Starlight Award" exhibition.
