Features: Over two decades of reform and opening-up in China have achieved remarkable results that have attracted worldwide attention. The introduction of a large amount of foreign capital, advanced technology, and management expertise, along with the rapid growth of foreign trade through exports, has significantly enhanced China's economic vitality and international competitiveness. However, it is also clear that the task of coordinating domestic development and opening-up remains quite demanding to adapt to the trend of economic globalization and the new situation of China's sustained rapid economic growth. The Fourth Plenary Session of the 16th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China proposed the need to "adhere to" the combination of "bringing in" and "going global," making full use of both domestic and international markets and resources, and focusing on leveraging China's comparative advantages. If "bringing in" has already accumulated over two decades of experience, then "going global" can be said to have just begun. Many issues require in-depth research, and the cultivation of cross-border management talents needs to be accelerated. In the competition and cooperation with international multinational companies, China has already grown a number of large companies with Chinese characteristics and advantages. Although some are just starting out, the journey ahead is arduous yet promising. To "go global," it is essential to foster the main body of "going global"—that is, China's own multinational companies. Then, under the leadership of these large multinational companies, a supply chain with coordinated development of large and small enterprises can be formed. Around this core topic, there are many related issues that need to be studied and discussed. How can large enterprises become stronger? How can small and medium-sized enterprises grow faster? How can the government support enterprises in "going global"? How can state-owned enterprises deepen their reforms? How can private enterprises enhance their core competitiveness? How can industries and finance collaborate in "going global"? And so on. The authors of this book have conducted in-depth research on these issues. Some of the answers may still be preliminary, but the spirit of exploration is commendable.
