Features: Xue Dezhen was born on February 14, 1932, in Shanggang Town, Jianhu County, Jiangsu Province. He joined the Communist Party of China and participated in revolutionary work in May 1947. From 1947 to 1954, he worked as an editor at Zhonghua Xinhua Bookstore, Southern Jiangnan Xinhua Bookstore, East China Xinhua Bookstore, and Shanghai People's Publishing House. From August 1954 to July 1956, he studied at the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China's Journalism Class and graduated. From August 1960 to August 1962, he served as a Chinese expert at the Vietnam Foreign Language Publishing House under the cultural cooperation agreement between the governments of China and Vietnam. From August 1956 to August 1960 and from August 1962 to August 1999, he worked at the People's Publishing House, successively serving as an editor, head of the philosophy editorial department, deputy editor-in-chief, president chief editor, and senior editor. He has authored works such as "Society and Humanity" and "Philosophical Discourses on Humanity."
