Features: This series of books is compiled in line with the spirit of quality education for primary and secondary school students as instructed by the Ministry of Education of China, based on the new teaching and textbooks. The "Chinese Curriculum Standards for Compulsory Education" specify the following requirements for the reading skills of fifth and sixth graders:

6. Read expository texts and identify key points, understanding the basic methods of explanation.
7. Read narrative works and summarize the main events, briefly describing the most memorable scenes, characters, details, and expressing personal feelings of liking, disliking, admiration, aspiration, and sympathy. Read poems and grasp the general meaning, imagine the scenarios described, appreciate the poet's emotions, and be inspired and motivated by excellent works to pursue noble ideals.
8. Learn through travelogues to broaden knowledge and gather information as needed.
9. In understanding texts, recognize the different uses of commas, semicolons, and periods.
10. Recite excellent poems and articles, paying attention to the content and emotions of the works through their tones and rhythms. Memorize 60 excellent poems and articles.
11. Utilize libraries, the internet, and other information channels to attempt exploratory reading. Expand reading horizons, with a total of no less than 1 million words of extracurricular reading.
This series emphasizes the understanding and mastery of basic concepts and principles; focuses on training in basic knowledge and skills, centered around key and difficult points, comprehensively applying foundational knowledge to cultivate students' analytical and thinking abilities, striving to comprehensively improve students' reading skills.
