Features: What is the purpose and value of life? How can one attain happiness in life? Everyone asks themselves these questions. Mr. Feng Youlan approaches this from a philosophical perspective, drawing nourishment from the spirit and veins of traditional Chinese culture, and provides us with an alternative answer to the philosophy of life. This book is one of the main works of the philosophical master Mr. Feng Youlan from the 1920s, systematically and incisively elaborating on his life philosophy concepts formed under the influence of neorealism. In 1919, Feng Youlan went to the United States for study, studying under the neorealist Meng Daguo and the pragmatist master Dewey. He later recalled: "In my philosophical thought, pragmatism was dominant at first, and then neorealism became dominant." His ideological shift from pragmatism to neorealism is quite evident in A View of Life, where Feng Youlan attempts to combine neorealism with traditional Chinese philosophy. This idea was fully developed in his later constructed system of New Logicism.
