Features: The ox is passive and timid. Lively, enthusiastic, unrestrained, daring, sharp-edged, courageous in creation, and full of vitality—these excellent qualities have never been present in the ox. The ox is always cautious and hesitant, lacking initiative and independence. The ox primarily considers "how am I treated" rather than "how am I doing" or "what I should do." The ox rarely takes the initiative in decision-making, overly relying on the opinions of parents, relatives, colleagues, and superiors, lacking boldness and a spirited. The ox blindly follows the crowd. Being uniform and speaking in unison, the ox tends to follow the mainstream in matters. Another major weakness in the ox's personality is its tendency to attract attention. Proverbs like "the weak are easily targeted," "shoot the pheasant that sticks out," "the rafter that sticks out rots first," and "people fear fame, pigs fear strength" have deeply influenced the ox's way of dealing with the world. He never seeks to stand out, making it impossible for him to rise above the rest. The ox is overly introverted. The ox never readily expresses opinions or emotions, often being vague and ambiguous about issues, rarely saying "yes" or "no" but instead opting for "maybe" or "it's not certain." Believing that "disputes arise from too much talk," the ox appears cunning and deep, but in reality, it lacks self-confidence. Uncertain within, he dare not show it outwardly; unable to defend himself, he fears attracting trouble. As a result, he lacks charm and conviction, merely echoing others and going with the flow. The ox is timid and weak. The ox is often overly sensitive and emotionally fragile, tiring of striving upward. Often before even starting a task, he already feels overwhelmed and anxious; before facing any real setbacks or blows, he has already lost hope. Over time, he develops a mindset of "avoiding conflict and taking the easiest path," doing whatever requires the least effort and is the simplest. He views retreating from difficulties, taking detours, or passing the buck as "wise choices." The ox's personality is aged. Descriptions like "full of passion, with a surging, relentless youthful vitality" are completely alien to the ox. He is always content, desires little, follows nature, and maintains a calm and peaceful demeanor, rarely experiencing emotional fluctuations, to the point of being unnervingly placid. Despite lacking ambition, he considers himself steady and mature. At a young age, he shows signs of premature aging in his personality. This conservative, compliant, timid, and aged personality was once highly praised, but it increasingly clashes with today's open, pioneering, competitive, and rapidly changing era. Of course, the ox also has his unique strengths. Perhaps what they preserve in industry is the shining gold that we should not discard. We do not believe the ox is entirely useless; we are not trying to dismiss it with a single blow. Our goal is to help the ox overcome its difficulties, address its shortcomings, and fully leverage its strengths, so that everyone understands the ox's plight and realizes that one should not be as meek as the ox. This book analyzes, interprets, and assists the ox from all aspects: social interaction, mindset, love, career, communication, task execution, and personal conduct. Using the ox as a metaphor for people, it provides a profound and objective analysis of the ox's flaws from the perspective of human nature and reality, while also offering effective and practical methods and techniques for the ox and those with similar personalities. We believe it will be helpful to every friend who shares similar traits with the ox.
