Features: Vancouver, located in Canada, often rains. In the spring and summer, the sky is also often clear. Vancouver is in the southwest of Canada, where the mountains near the sea and the ocean merge. Small puddles on the road and umbrellas are a part of life! Similarly, sunglasses, small restaurants by the sidewalk, and strolling by the sea are also a part of life. This Canadian city with a mild climate is always prepared for the alternation of sunshine and rain! Vancouver has many dense forests, lush parks, and majestic mountains. Most of Vancouver's famous tourist attractions are built on the advantage of being close to nature. Vancouver's urban landscape is dominated by art festivals, restaurants, sailboats, coffee shops, fitness centers, and Hollywood film crews. Vancouver is a well-developed city and continues to expand, radiating its unique colors and the pulse of Vancouver. Vancouver is Canada's third-largest city and the largest city in western Canada. It connects to Seattle via U.S. Highway 5 to the south and to the Rocky Mountains to the east. In 1792, Captain George Vancouver passed through this area while searching for the Northwest Passage. In September 1867, Jack Deighton, known as "Gassy," arrived here. He built a wooden saloon bar on Water Street in Gastown, the current location, to provide a resting place for pioneers. In 1873, Jack opened a two-story hotel opposite his bar, which included a billiard room, and this is the origin of the Hotel in Vancouver. Jack died in 1875, leaving behind a history of Vancouver's exploration for the world to remember. Vancouver was incorporated as a city in 1886, with a population of about one thousand at the time, and MA. McLean was elected as the mayor. To commemorate Captain George Vancouver of the Canadian Pacific Railway for arriving here in 1792 while searching for the Northwest Passage, the city was named Vancouver. On June 13 of the same year, a fire broke out in Vancouver, destroying most of the city's buildings in about thirty minutes. Compared to many other cities in the world, Vancouver is still a relatively young city! It has grown and flourished with rapid and steady steps. With the rise of modern industry and the discovery of new mineral resources, Vancouver became one of Canada's main ports in the late 19th century. In recent years, Vancouver has shown the world its urban development, rapid trade growth, and diverse culture. Among them, a new downtown public library and the Ford Performing Arts Center opposite the library have been established. A new basketball arena owned by the National Basketball Association (NBA) and the Vancouver Grizzlies have also been established. A new international airport, twice the size of the original, has also begun operations, accommodating millions of new immigrants and tourists coming to the beautiful land of Vancouver. The commonly referred to Vancouver is actually a general term for the Greater Vancouver area. The Greater Vancouver area is divided into the downtown core, West Vancouver across the Lion Gate Bridge, North Vancouver, Vancouver centered around Queen Elizabeth Park, Vancouver West where UBC is located, Richmond and Delta to the south, Burnaby, New Westminster, Surrey to the east, and so on. Among them, the downtown core, with the largest Chinese population, is one of the key tourist attractions.
