Features: Owen once said, "In legend and poetic association, Europe has a unique charm." Walking into Europe, precisely these ten or so countries in Europe. Trying to start from an earlier history, laying out all their rise and fall, their prosperity and decline. Thus, the complex and profound weight from distant layers overlaps, creating the present. The author silently observes them, walking through highlands, forests, and one city after another—in mysterious castles, amidst desolate ruins, before stone carvings filled with images and text, the author seems to feel that history has just departed, faint and obscure, about to be born yet not yet, with every scene of tragedy and comedy playing out in a roaring and rotating manner, captivating and moving. Only after getting drunk do you know how strong the wine is. The heart immersed in foreign experiences still stubbornly seeks the elegant charm of the promised land in dreams. Years later, as time passes, the author's feelings for Europe are like a vintage wine hidden in a cellar, spilling from the mind time and again. Only at this moment does the author truly regret having walked too hastily and too deeply at the time, not spending enough time filling the blank pages in the diary of the European journey, encountering beautiful scenery yet not lingering, and the long-awaited destinations only glimpsed in a hurry; the restless heart also found no moment of peace, the outside world too fascinating, leading to forgetting while looking, losing while walking. Added to the naive choices made due to superficiality and oversight in observing and experiencing everything, the author still feels very regretful when thinking about it today. It seems to dawn: Heaven and earth are like a journey, some lost things cannot be regained. This book, in the form of a travelogue, narrates the cultural history of various European countries, with beautiful writing and illustrations.
