Features: This book records the step-by-step growth of the Minors' Court of Haidian District People's Court. It is mainly divided into three parts. Part one is "Innovation of the Juvenile Trial System." The Minors' Court is a new phenomenon in China's judicial reform, with no established rules to follow. Through long-term judicial practice, the Minors' Court of Haidian District People's Court has been bold in exploration and daring in attempts, consistently adhering to the principle of "education, reform, and rehabilitation" in juvenile criminal trials. Any practice, system, or measure conducive to implementing this principle can be tried, innovated, and continuously improved. The articles in this section mainly explore the construction and perfection of the juvenile justice system from the perspectives of juvenile criminal procedural law, criminal substantive law, and execution law. They discuss issues such as the determination of age evidence for juvenile defendants, the establishment of probation judges in juvenile courts, the introduction of social investigation systems in juvenile criminal cases, the involvement of psychological experts in juvenile criminal cases, the use of character evidence in juvenile criminal cases, the application of probation for juvenile offenders, and the improvement of non-punitive measures for juvenile offenders. These articles propose many creative insights to promote the development of China's juvenile trial system. The second part is "Juvenile Crime Prevention." From the perspective of criminology and combining judicial practice, it conducts research on different types of crimes such as online drug crimes, crimes committed by college students, crimes committed by migrant adolescents, crimes committed by teenage girls, crimes committed by children of extramarital affairs, juvenile drug crimes, and minor crimes among minors. It analyzes their characteristics, trends, and causes, and proposes targeted solutions. The third part is "Juvenile Crime Warning." The judges select many vivid and lively cases encountered in judicial practice, using one after another lost youth as a warning to the world. Law serves as the bottom line of morality and cannot be crossed.
