Features: Liu Guan (1270–1342), known as the famous Yuan Dynasty litterateur, educator, and outstanding master of Confucian studies, was one of the "Four Masters of the Confucian Forest" in history. From a young age, he was diligent in learning, becoming erudite and versatile. His literary achievements reached the peak of his time, with a prolific body of work that earned him praise from later generations. He served as a county school instructor for a long time and was later appointed as a Hanlin Attendant and Historian-in-Residence in his later years. He was renowned in the field of Chinese calligraphy for his skill in regular script and seal script, and was also an expert in appreciating poetry, painting, and calligraphy. What has been especially admired by generations is his upright integrity and his noble character in nurturing the younger generation. This book is based on the "Liu Attendant's Collected Works" from the "Four Treasuries Collation," with collation according to the Shanghai Hanfen Pavilion edition and the "Four Treasuries Collection." Generally, the "Four Treasuries Collection" is used as the standard, with a few words or phrases taken from the "Four Treasuries Collation" or the Hanfen Pavilion edition. Some poem titles in the main text are very long. The "Four Treasuries Collation" simplified most of them in the table of contents for convenience in finding them, so they have been adjusted to match the main text for readers.
